Aftermath Lament

              AFTERMATH LAMENT

As more shooting of innocents comes our way

Will something finally be done this day?

As this Congress refuses to have a say.

What to do with this dismay?

All need to vote this coming election day

And remove these Lackey’s of the N.R.A.

Take them to task for failure to act

Send them packing in disgrace that hardened pack

For dereliction of duty of the oath they were sworn to say

So, lets get to the polls this election day

And cast that vote to let the word go forth

We want a change to take these weapons of war off our streets

At last saving lives and setting a better example for the World

That we are at last a Nation of preserving Life

And that all have a right

To pursue their lives without fear

Of a random act of violence and hate

For thee I pray we all look at this In The Light of Day

A reflection and call for Action

A Reflection and call for Action

Time after time we weep again and again for so many innocents shot in anger and hate. As we weep these loses a sense that we cannot go on this way. There is hope as A recent statement from a young lad speaking for his peer’s said, “This generation will not stand for this.” Let these words resonate through out this land and serves as a mobilizing force to take these weapons of war off our streets forthwith. A call for action: It Is Okay To Cry Bubba

There comes a time when grief
Is too heavy to hold and bear
When Society is attacked so regularly of late
With a deluge of venom and hate
An accumulated volume so great
Time after time without sign of break
A Merchant of Death shows his face
He walks freely about without restraints
Chooses mighty weapons of war
So easy to obtain to our dismay
Targets are everyone on any given day
So it is time to cry, stop, stop, stop
This madness without delay
And take weapons of war away
Melt them down and build Highways
Tunnels, Bridges, Habitats ,I say
Keeping life sacred for thee I pray
In The Light Of Day!
